MAGGIE JACKSON

 

I was born in Cambridge in the austere years just after the Second World War,  with an early interest in art.  I was fortunate enough to win a school art competition and my work was exhibited in Heffers Gallery in Cambridge town centre.

 

I work mostly with acrylics, although I also use inks, watercolours, mixed media and collage.

 

I enjoy open water swimming all year round and several of my paintings are inspired by local lakes, where the beauty and tranquillity of my surroundings influence my work.
